Moyer Shines in Final Day Against SAU

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Kyndal Moyer went 2 for 5 at the plate and scored the lone run in the final two games against Southern Arkansas University.

Game Three:
In game three of the series, the Muleriders plated nine runs between the second through fourth innings. Southern Arkansas went on to win the game 9-1 in five innings win 10 hits. Kyndal Moyer singled in the bottom of the third inning, stole second base, and was brought home on the RBI single from Callie Jourdan. Jillian Jones was the only other Tiger to reach base with a single to center field.

Marissa Butler was given the loss for the Tigers, giving up five runs on five hits and two walks in her four innings in the circle.

Game Four:
Southern Arkansas totaled three homeruns in the 6-0 series cap. Mabry Smith picked up her fifth loss of the season, throwing three innings and giving up five hits and four runs. Madison Miller relieved Smith for the final four innings and gave up two runs in the top of the seventh inning.

Offensively, Tobi Finley, Kyndal Moyer, and Leighton Withers recorded the three hits for the Tigers in the game. Moyer also picked up her second stolen base in the series.

The Tigers will play next against Arkansas Monticello on Tuesday for the final two home games of the season. They will then close out conference play against Arkansas Tech on the road in Russellville, Arkansas.
