16 Hits Propel Tigers in Win over CBU

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Ouachita Baseball captures a win on the final road game of the season at Christian Brothers University with a score of 9-2.
 
Bo Sutton drew the start on the mound for the Tigers. He would pitch five innings only allowing two hits and not a run. Tyler Duck would pitch two innings giving up only two hits while Tommy Foster pitched an innings giving up two earned runs. Noah Fowler closed out the game for the tigers getting three outs in ninth.
 
The Tigers took the early lead after Tyler Riebock crossed the plate on a Louis Steen sacrifice fly to center field. The Tigers added another run the top of the second inning after Cade McBride started the inning with a double to left center. Pierce Mitchum, the next batter, drove in McBride on a double to right field.
 
In the third inning Aaron Studdard led off with a single through the right side. Tyler Riebock then tripled down the right field line scoring Studdard and giving the Tigers a 3-0 lead. Bo Sutton grounded out to second scoring Riebock securing Ouachita a commanding lead.
 
The fourth inning brought a replay of the third as Aaron Studdard reached base before Tyler Riebock tripled him home with two outs. Louis Steen singled home Riebock giving the Tigers a 6-0 lead heading into the fifth.
 
In the final inning Logan Huneycutt led off the inning with a single before Cade McBride put two in scoring position with a double down the left field line. Both crossed the plate two batters later when Chris Willard singled to center field. The Tigers ended the game with a 9-2 final score.
 
The Tigers will close out the season at Rab Rodgers Field against rival Henderson State on Friday and Saturday.
