Tigers Capture Battle of the Ravine Game One with Nine Runs

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Ouachita Baseball take the first game of the Battle of the Ravine 9-6 with 12 hits.
 
In the first two innings the Tigers hit through the entire order scoring nine runs giving them enough to win the game. Brandon Matros started the game giving the Tigers 3.1 innings of work giving up three hits and five runs. Luke Scaggs picked up his third win of the season only giving up two hits and one run in 4.2 innings. Adam Bahloul came in the ninth inning and closed out the game picking up his second save of the year.
 
The first inning used the first inning to start hot as Tyler Riebock sent a one out single to left field. Louis Steen walked before Bo Sutton drove a double to right center scoring Riebock. After a Logan Huneycutt walk, Cade McBride blasted his first homerun of the year for a grand slam. The Tigers left the first inning with a 5-0 lead.
 
The second innings was started off with an Aaron Studdard single up the middle. Tyler Riebock followed up Studdard with a double to left center, and Louis Steen followed suit with a single to left field. Bo Sutton drove in a run with a single to right field. Cade McBride put in his fifth and sixth runs batted in with a single scoring Steen and Sutton. The Tigers captured a 9-2 lead heading into the third.
 
The Tigers did not score the rest of the game, but Luke Scaggs shut down the Reddies from the fifth to eighth inning. Tyler Riebock and Bo Sutton put in 3-5 days at the plate both scoring two runs. The Tigers would put in three doubles on the day and Chris Willard would steal a base.
 
The Tigers will celebrate the their five seniors tomorrow at 11:30 at Rab Rodgers Field before the season finale double-header with Henderson State.
