ARKADELPHIA, ARK. - Ouachita Baseball shows well against Delta State but in the end fall with a score of 10-0.
Tyler Duck got the start for the Tigers in the battle against the ranked foe. He would get out of a first inning jam by forcing a fly ball to left field to end the inning. In the bottom half of the inning the
Aaron Studdard would lead things off with a single to left field. The Tigers would later have two on base as
Louis Steen would get hit by a pitch; however, they could not get a runner across and would enter the second inning down 1-0.Â
In the second inning,
Tommy Foster would enter the game to pitch for the Tigers. He would get two outs but put two runners on after an error and a walk. He would then allow the Okra to hit a homerun to stretch the lead to 4-0. After that point, neither team would be able to do anything as there would be three hitless innings at Rab Rodgers Field.Â
In the top of the fourth Delta State would break it open as they would triple, homer, single and double all in straight at bats.
Kaden Tollett would come in to pitch and force a double play to end the inning. In the bottom half of the inning the Tigers would lead off with
Tyler Riebock walk and advancing to third on two straight balks. Nothing else would happen for either as Tollett would shut down the Okra. Ouachita would fall in the end to a score of 10-0.
The Tiger's Baseball team returns to action this weekend against East Central starting on Friday at 3:00 PM in Ada, Oklahoma.
