ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – In their opening weekend the Ouachita Tiger Women's Swim and Dive team defeated Loyola (LA) by a score of 148-111.
The Tigers captured first place finishes in 10 out of the 14 events. Sophomore
Lilia Clark continued where she left off in her freshman campaign tallying three top finishes, 100 yard breast stroke, 100 yard free and the 200 yard IM.
Starting off the meet right, Ouachita would capture a victory in the 200 yard medley relay with the team of
Lilia Clark,
Ariana Rizo,
Courtney Myers and
Erica Tatom. Jordan Wednt secured a first place finish in the 500 yard freestyle and a second place finish in the 1,000 yard freestyle. Freshman
Ariana Rizo placed first in the 200 yard breaststroke and second in the 200 yard freestyle.
Senior
Anastasiia Ulianova came in second in the 100 yard backstroke; her first race of the season. In her freshman debut
Courtney Myers secured the top spot in the 100 and 200 yard butterfly and the 200 yard backstroke.
Ouachita finished out the meet winning the 200 yard freestyle medley behind the team of
Jade Ashley,
Christina Beger, Jordan Wednt and
Alyssa Reece.
The Tigers return to action on Oct. 5 for their Alumni Meet at Sturgis Physical Education Center.
