ARKADELPHIA, ARK—Coming off a 31-11 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State in front of an electric home crowd, the Ouachita Tiger Football team will hit the road to take on GAC opponent, the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Bulldogs this Saturday, Sept. 28.
Last week, Southwestern fell to the Arkansas-Monticello Boll Weevils 44-9 after starting the season 2-0, beating East Central and Southeastern Oklahoma. The Bulldogs got on the board first with a 40-yard field goal, the only 3 points of the first quarter for either squad. However, the Boll Weevil offense scored 17 points in the second quarter and then 27 in the fourth to pull away a win against the Bulldogs.
Bulldogs Scouting Report
Offense:
Against Monticello, the Southwestern offense struggled, only putting up 88 yards passing and 103 yards rushing, going 3-13 on third downs and throwing 2 interceptions. However, that is not the story of the season; against Southeastern Oklahoma State, the Bulldog offense put up 409 yards, averaging almost 20 yards per pass completion, against East Central they averaged just over 10 yards per completion.

The rushing attack has not proved as successful, but has diversified the offense. Last year he ranked third on the team with 53 tackles (32 solo, 21 assist) to go along with 6.0 tackles for loss. Derrius Franklin recorded 8 tackles and Gerald White recorded 5.
