RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Ouachita Tigers (3-6) defeated the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys (3-7) in the final game of the series, 7-5.

Noah Fowler (0-0) started the third game for the Tigers and threw 6.1 innings. Fowler allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits and struck out six batters.
Cooper Timmons (1-0) received the first win of his Ouachita career. He allowed one hit and struck out two hitters in his 1.2 innings of scoreless baseball.
Logan Huneycutt (0-1) earned his second save of the season and gave up one walk, while striking out two Wonder Boys in the ninth inning.
Tyler Riebock sparked the Tiger scoring on a two-run homerun over the left-center wall to score
Cade McBride and put Ouachita up 2-1 in the third inning. An inning later, Riebock hit a two-out RBI single to right field to plate
CW Schrader. Next up, Huneycutt hit a bases clearing double that scored
Louis Steen and Riebock to extend the lead 5-3.
With the score tied 5-5, Colton Schrader hit his first homerun as a Tiger that would prove to be the winning run in the top of the ninth inning. Ouachita then added an insurance run on a Huneycutt single to score Steen for the 7-5 lead.
Despite a walk in the bottom of the ninth inning by Huneycutt, he got a fly out to right field and two strikeouts to give the Tigers their first Great American Conference win.

The Ouachita Tigers will play next against Ecclesia College (3-4) in Springdale, Arkansas, on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. before moving into the weekend against the University of Arkansas at Monticello at home.
