ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Tigers (1-3 GAC, 4-7 Overall) came up short to the Monticello Boll Weevils (3-1 GAC, 5-6 Overall) in game one of the series 1-8.

Ouachita Pitching
Beau Burson (1-1) made the start for the Tigers and threw 5.2 innings. He gave up one run on seven hits, three walks, and two strikeouts.
Carter Wade (1-2) relieved Burson for 1.2 innings and allowed one run on three hits and four strikeouts.
Cooper Timmons (1-0) would pitch the next two-thirds of an inning of one-hit, two-run baseball. He gave up two walks and earned two strikeouts.
Parker Edwards (0-0) and
Maddox Long (0-0) would close out the final inning of the game. Edwards pitched a third of an inning, giving up three runs (two earned) on a hit, a walk, and a strikeout. Long earned the last two outs after allowing a run on one hit.

Offensively, the Tigers scored one run in the game on a leadoff home run from
Tyler Riebock in the bottom of the first inning.
The Tigers came close to scoring again in the bottom of the seventh inning after
Louis Steen hit a one-out triple, but was caught stealing home on an attempted suicide squeeze bunt.
