Final Results

Ouachita Baptist women's swimming picked up a 166-95 win Thursday in its season opening meet at Montevallo. Juniors Lilia Clark and Sydney Parker and sophomore Kaitlyn Montgomery each picked up two individual wins for the TigerSharks. Clark and Montgomery also each contributed to two relay victories for Ouachita.

Clark took first in the 50 yard breaststroke and 100 yard freestyle. Parker won the 200 yard freestyle and 50 yard butterfly. Montgomery finished first in the 50 yard backstroke and 200 yard individual medley. Senior Camilla Howarth won the 1000 yard freestyle, and Jade Ashley won the 50 yard freestyle. A pair of freshmen picked up first-place finishes in their collegiate debuts, as Anna Kate Velasquez won the 500 yard freestyle, and Avery Sewell won the 200 yard backstroke, . 

The 400 yard medley relay team of Montgomery, Clark, Elysian Majeske and Ashley took first by more than four seconds, and the 400 yard freestyle team of Clark, Parker, Ariana Rizo and Montgomery finished more than 13 seconds ahead of their second-place teammates. 

TigerSharks won 12 of 14 events on the day, earning seven second-place finishes and two third-place showings as well.

The meet was the first event for any Ouachita athletic team in 303 days.
