ALVA, Oklahoma – The Ouachita Baptist University women's soccer team came away with a double-overtime, 1-1 tie on Saturday on the road against Northwestern Oklahoma State.
Ouachita (8-5-2, 5-4-1 GAC) opened the scoring in the 37th minute of the first half of the foot of
Jaymee Dotson, her fourth goal of the season. It was assisted by
Frankie Nine, her first scoring action of the season.
The Rangers (10-4-2, 5-3-2 GAC) leveled the score in the 75th minute.
Ouachita was held without a shot in the first overtime, and came up with two shots on goal in the second overtime, both resulting in saves for the Rangers.
Overall, the Rangers outshot the Tigers 32-20, including an 18-14 advantage in shots on goal.
Michele Snow recorded a new career-high in goal on Saturday, registering 16 saves in her 110 minutes of action.
Ouachita enters the final week of the regular season still needing a win or help from another conference opponent to qualify for the Great American Conference Tournament. Ouachita plays at Harding on Tuesday, November 2, and closes the regular season on Saturday, November 6 at home against East Central.
