EDMOND, Oklahoma – Ouachita Baptist University's swimming and diving teams shined in the medley relays once again to highlight the day two performances at the Oklahoma Christian Invitational.
"Tonight (Friday) was another hard night of swimming," said Ouachita Head Coach Steven Bostick. "Several of these athletes packed four events in 90 minutes and grinded out some very impressive swims. This team is fun to watch."
Top finishes in the finals of day two included:
- Women's team first place in the 200-yard medley relay with top conference time (1:48.16)
- Men's team top time in the conference in 200-yard medley relay (1:33.95)
- Lilia Clark meet record & top time in the conference in the 100-yard backstroke (1:05.83)
- Miles Schulze NCAA B cut & 11th best time nationally in 100-yard breaststroke (55.38)
- Elise Henderson led off the 800-yard freestyle relay with top time in the conference.
- Elijah Christenson second place in the 100-yard butterfly (49.61) and is now ranked 13th nationally
- Sofia Rizo second place in the 400-yard individual medley (4:48.57)
- Noah Smith third place in the 400-yard individual medley (4:05.22)
- Kaitlyn Montgomery second place in the 100-yard butterfly (58.78)
- Sydney Parker third place in the 100-yard butterfly (58.95)
- Erin Russo third place in the 100-yard backstroke (59.26)
- Men's team second place in the 800-yard freestyle relay (6:57.34)
Ouachita is back in the pool in Edmond on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. for the final day of the invitational.
