Ouachita Baptist men's basketball led Arkansas-Monticello 58-57 with 10 and a half minutes remaining Saturday, but the Boll Weevils exploded for 31 points over the final 10:20 for an 88-68 win at Steelman Fieldhouse.
Kendarious Smith led the Tigers with 21 points on the afternoon.
Matt Stanley added 20 of his own.
The Tigers led 42-39 at halftime, as Smith and
Ma'Darius Hobson combined for 23 points in the first half. After a back-and-forth start to the second half, the Boll Weevils made 12 of 18 field goal attempts in the final 10:20 to pull away and never looked back.
