Ouachita Baptist men's basketball led defeated Southern Arkansas 73-59 Saturday at Bill Vining Arena. Senior guard Kendarious Smith led the Tigers with 18 points in the victory. 

The Muleriders, who won the first three matchups of the season between the two teams, jumped out to an 8-0 lead to start the game. The Tigers battled back and took the lead for good with 7:06 left in the first half on a Kobe Dunlap three-pointer. 

Southern Arkansas would force a tie just over five minutes into the second, but Ouachita regained the lead 15 seconds later on a jumper by Leon Kalinic. The Tigers made 16 of 34 field goal attempts in the second period to keep their distance and hold on for the 14-point victory.

Kalinic finished one rebound shy of a double-double, putting up 10 points and hauling in a team-high nine boards.
