Ouachita Baptist men's basketball erased a 13-point deficit in the second half Monday but Henderson State came away with an 82-75 victory Monday night at the Duke Wells Center.
Kendarious Smith reached the 1,000-point mark for his career en route to a season-high 26 points, leading all scorers.
Smith scored the Tigers' first seven points of the game and notched career point No. 1,000 on a three-pointer with 4:40 left in the first.Â

Physical play hurt Ouachita early in the second half, as the visitors were whistled for 17 fouls before they attempted their first free throw of the period. Three Tigers -
Deaveon Bankston,
Matt Stanley, and
Leon Kalinic - fouled out by the 11:00 mark in the second.Â
The Tigers refused to roll over, however. Trailing 60-47 with 9:10 to play, Ouachita went on an 18-5 run over the next 4:42 to tie the game at 65. The Reddies withstood the Tiger charge and held on for the victory.
