THE RUNDOWN
Tiger softball trailed by a run heading into the bottom of the seventh inning Wednesday in the first game of a doubleheader with Christian Brothers. Back-to-back doubles by
Hope Waid and
Heather Brown to lead off the inning set up
Sloane Precure's game-winning single to wrap up the 3-2 win.
Madison Miller limited the Bucs to a pair of runs - only one of which was earned - across seven innings, striking out four batters and walking three. However, the Tigers entered the bottom of the sixth still searching for their first run of the game.
That run came on
Jillian Jones' second home run of the season. The Tiger catcher sent a ball sailing over the left field wall to put her team on the board.
Precure's walk-off base knock game Ouachita its first win of the season.
