THE RUNDOWN

No. 18 Southern Arkansas scratched across an unearned run in the bottom of the eighth inning to break the tie and held on to win 3-2 Friday night in Magnolia. Ouachita Baptist starter Hunter Gautreaux struck out six batters in 7.0 innings while taking a no-decision.

Cole Kelly's solo home run in the top of the second gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead.

The Muleriders came back with a pair of runs in the fourth: one earned and one unearned. Jared Free's RBI single in the sixth gave the Tigers the tying run before SAU plated the eventual game-winning run in the eighth.
