The Ouachita Baptist men's soccer team suffered its third loss of the season Saturday in a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Rogers State. The Tigers registered seven shots with two goals made by Jordan Ebon and
David Stankovic.
Rogers State would come out of the gates strong in the first half scoring a goal in the 17th and 34th minute to take a 2-0 lead into the break. The Hillcats would strike again quick with their third goal in the 47th minute. Ouachita would finally find the back of the net in the 49th minute with a goal from
Ebon Jordan assisted by
Bobby Boone to make it a 3-1 game.
Ouachita would strike again with a goal from
David Stankovic, assisted by
Giovanni Chavarri, in the 62nd minute to make it just a 3-2 lead for Rogers State. Rogers State would score the final goal of the game in the 67th minute.
MATCH NOTES
- Both Stankovic and Jordan's goals were the first of their career as a Tiger.
- Jordan's goal was the first goal scored by the Tigers since February 7.
- Four goals is the most allowed by the Tigers since 2018.
- The Tigers and Hillcats have split their last four games played.
