THE RUNDOWN
No. 1 Southern Arkansas' bats came alive in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader at Sully Anderson Field, taking the third game of the weekend series 9-0 in five innings. The Tigers managed just two hits in the rubber match of the weekend series.
A bases-loaded hit batter led to the Muleriders' first run in the first inning, but
Nikki Schneider was able to limit the damage after coming on in relief. SAU erupted for five runs in the third and three more in the fourth to extend the lead to 9-0, evoking the five-inning mercy rule.Â
