Reddies Hold On To Win Midweek Barn Burner

THE RUNDOWN

Ouachita Baptist and Henderson State combined for 20 runs Tuesday night, with the host Reddies coming out on top 12-8 at Clyde Berry Field. Cole Kelly went 3-5 with a double, a triple and three runs batted in in a losing effort.

An unearned run in the top of the first gave the Tigers an early lead, but Henderson scored five unanswered in the third and fourth innings. Ouachita responded with two in the fifth, as Kelly drove in Tyler Riebock with a sac fly and Cade McBride scored on a wild pitch. The Reddies answered with a grand slam in the bottom of the frame.

In the sixth, Riebock scored on an infield single by Kelly, CW Schrader drove in Cade Burris with a single to center, and McBride scored again on a wild pitch. In the seventh, Kelly tripled home Burris and scored on McBride's single to cut the lead to 9-8.

A run in the bottom of the seventh and two more in the eighth sealed the deal for the Reddies
