THE RUNDOWN

Ouachita Baptist lost the first game of a series-opening doubleheader Friday at Southwestern Oklahoma State by a score of 7-2. Jared Free and Pierce Mitchum drove in the Tigers' two runs in the game.

The Bulldogs built and early lead with two runs in the second inning and three in the third. A sac fly by Free plated the first Ouachita run in the fourth. SWOSU got a run back in the sixth. The Tigers added another run in the eighth on Mitchum's sac fly, but the Bulldogs added a tally of their own in the bottom of the frame.

Hunter Gautreaux took the loss for the Tigers, allowing six runs, four of which were earned, through 6.0 innings.
