Ouachita Baptist baseball dropped Game 2 of a doubleheader to Northwestern Oklahoma State by a score of 11-6 Friday at Rab Rodgers Field.
Cade Burris and
Cade McBride each collected a pair of hits in the loss.
McBride gave the Tigers an early lead with a two-run double in the bottom of the first. The Rangers scratched back with a run in the second and one in the third before taking the lead with a three-run fourth.
Beau Burson drove in a run with a in the bottom of the fourth and scored on
Hayden Childers' sac fly to cut the deficit to one, but that was as close as the Tigers would get.Â
Northwestern scored five runs in the fifth. A sacrifice fly by
Pierce Mitchum gave the Tigers a run in response in the bottom of the frame. After the Rangers added an insurance run in the top of the seventh, the Tigers mounted a two-out rally that resulted in an RBI single by Mitchum but nothing else.
