Northwestern Oklahoma State completed a sweep of a weekend series at Rab Rodgers Field on Saturday with a 5-3 win over Ouachita Baptist. The Tigers put the potential tying run at second with one out in the bottom of the ninth but left runners stranded at second and third.
The Tigers took an early lead in the bottom of the first.
Tyler Riebock's solo home run put the Tigers on the board, and
Louis Steen added an RBI single to make it 2-0 through one frame.
The Rangers scored single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to take the lead. They added a pair in the eighth to pad the lead.Â
Ouachita answered with a run of its own in the bottom of the eighth as
Cade Burris came around to score on an error after
CW Schrader's single.
Steen and
Jaxon Chaney led off the ninth with back-to-back singles and advanced to third and second, respectively, on
Hayden Childers' sacrifice bunt. They ended the game there. Â
