THE RUNDOWN

Ouachita Baptist used seven strong innings from senior Luke Scaggs in an 8-3 victory over Harding in the first game of a doubleheader at Rab Rodgers Field on Saturday. Cade McBride and Pierce Mitchum each homered.

The Tigers struck early, as Tyler Riebock put his team on the board in the bottom of the first with an RBI double and came around to score on a Blake Tubbs single. 

A solo home run by Pierce Mitchum in the fourth and a two-run shot by Cade McBride  A Cade Burris RBI single and a two-run double by Louis Steen padded the Tiger lead in the sixth. 

Scaggs limited Harding to seven hits in 7.0-plus innings, leaving the game with two on in the eighth. Those runs would come around on a three-run homer that began and concluded the Bisons' offensive output.
