THE RUNDOWN
A three-run seventh-inning rally broke a 2-2 tie and gave Ouachita Baptist softball a 5-2 win over Harding in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday.
Madison Miller earned her third win of the season.
Harding pushed across a run on an RBI groundout in the first to take an early lead. That run would account for all the offense in the game until the sixth inning. An RBI single by
Callie Jourdan in the top of the sixth tied the game, and
Kendyl Dockter's bunt single drove in the go-ahead run.Â
The Bisons answered with a run of their own in the sixth, but Ouachita had the final answer.
Jillian Jones put the Tigers back in the lead with an RBI double to left. Jourdan drove in another run with an infield single, and Dockter drew a bases- loaded walk to add another insurance run.Â
Miller worked around a leadoff single in the seventh to lock up the Tigers' fifth win of the year.
