Arkansas-Monticello won the second game of its series against Ouachita Baptist on Sunday in a 17-3 win in the first game of a doubleheader at Weevils Field. The Tigers managed just two hits in the game.Â
Ouachita took a 2-0 lead in the second after an RBI groundout by
Zach Kuykendall and a wild pitch that allowed
Jaxon Chaney to score. The home team answered with nine runs in the bottom of the inning.
Simmons Sowell cut into the UAM lead with a solo home run in the fifth. The Weevils answered with a run in the fifth and six more in the sixth to invoke the mercy rule.
