Arkansas Tech completed a series sweep of Ouachita Baptist with a 2-1 win Friday at Chartwells Women's Sports Complex.
Nicole Arreola held the Golden Suns to two runs on six hits but took the loss as the Tigers could only plate one run on two hits.
ATU took the lead with a first-inning run and added another tally in the third.Â
In the top of the sixth,
Hope Waid led off with a walk and scored on an error after
Heather Brown singled. The Tigers stranded the tying run at third that inning and went down 1-2-3 in the seventh to finish the series.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- This weekend marked the first time the Tigers were swept in a three-game series all season. They suffered two series sweeps of four games in the abbreviated 2020 season
- Ouachita was held to just two hits for the second time in the series
