Ouachita Baptist softball finished off a doubleheader sweep of Southern Nazarene with an 8-0 victory in five innings Saturday at Sully Anderson Field on Senior Day.
Heather Brown went 3-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored to lead the onslaught as
Nicole Arreola went the distance in the circle.
The Tigers struck first in the bottom of the first inning. Brown's RBI double plated
Hope Waid with the first run of the game. Brown scored on
Sloane Precure's RBI single, and Precure came around on
Callie Jourdan's RBI infield single.
Senior
Kendyl Dockter hit a two-run home run to left field in the third to add to the Ouachita lead, driving home
Kirsten Shaw.
Jillian Jones' RBI single in the fourth plated Brown with another insurance run.Â
Brown came to bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth and singled home a run. Precure followed with an RBI knock of her own to end the game.Â
Arreola scattered five hits across 5.0 innings with two strikeouts and no walks in the shutout victory.
