BETHANY, Oklahoma – The Ouachita Baptist University men's soccer team opened conference play on Thursday with a 3-2 loss on the road to Southern Nazarene.
The Crimson Storm (4-3, 1-0 GAC) opened the scoring at the 20:33 mark, but the Tigers (0-4-1, 0-1 GAC) responded with an equalizer less than eight minutes later with a goal from
Eli Stuart, the first of his Ouachita career.
SNU took a 2-1 lead in the final minutes of the first half on an own goal from Ouachita.
The second half was scoreless until the final four minutes. SNU scored at the 86:16 mark and the Tigers answered right back a minute later with a goal from
Grant Isbell assisted by
Bobby Boone. It was also Isbell's first career Ouachita goal. For Boone, it was his first assist of the season and third of his career.
The Tigers were limited to just three shots on goal. SNU had seven.
Ouachita is back in action on Saturday at Northeastern State.
