TALEQUAH, Oklahoma – The Ouachita Baptist University men's soccer team continued Great American Conference/Mid-America Athletic Association competition on Saturday with a 1-0 loss on the road to Northeastern State.
The Tigers (0-5-1, 0-2 GAC/MIAA) were limited to eight total shots in the loss with just two of those shots goal. The Riverhawks (4-4, 2-0) had 20 total shots and 11 on goal.
Despite allowing one goal,
Kyle Kelson had a career-high 10 saves in Saturday's loss.
NSU scored the game-winner early in the second half at the 56:59 mark.
Ouachita continues its eight-game road stretch to start the season with games seven and eight next week. The Tigers travel to Kansas on Thursday, September 30 to face Fort Hays State for a 6:30 kickoff, and then to Wichita to face Newman on Saturday, October 2 at noon.
