RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – The Ouachita Baptist University women's tennis team combined for nine wins at the Great American Conference Fall Championships this past weekend in Russellville.
In singles, Austynn Crocker, Haylee Cannon, Shelly Davilus, Taylor Hansard, Ali May and Keelan Williams all had one win over the weekend.
Crocker beat SAU's Gretta Wallin 8-1. Cannon beat Henderson State's Tori Johnson 6-1 and 6-4. Davilus beat HSU's Tirzah Bailey 6-3 and 6-2. Hansard beat Harding's Joee Crocker 8-4. Williams beat SAU's Haylie Hunger 8-3. May beat HSU's Vinda Tealy 6-3 and 6-1.
In doubles, Carla Gallart Polo and May highlighted Ouachita's performances with a pair of wins over SAU in the fourth flight, 6-1 and 7-5. Crocker and Clarisa Valenzuela also got a win in their respective flight, beating a duo from HSU 6-3.
The Tigers are back in action this weekend at the ITA Regionals in Edmond, Oklahoma.
