Ouachita Baptist volleyball started its season with a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Trevecca Nazarene at the Alabama-Huntsville Tourney in Huntsville, Alabama, on Friday morning. The four-point margin of the second set was the closest of the match, as the Tigers fell 25-19, 25-21, 25-18.
After Ouachita showed some fight by winning four of five points to cut the first-set score to 22-19, the Trojans claimed the final three points to take a 1-0 lead.Â
A 12-8 lead slipped away for the Tigers in the second set, but they regained a 17-16 advantage later in the set. Trevecca closed strong, taking four of the final five points.
The Tigers led 14-13 at one point in the third set, but TNU obliterated that deficit with a 10-0 run that helped seal the match.
