NO. 11 RANKING FOR OUACHITA FOOTBALL

ARKADELPHIA – After a season-opening win last Thursday, the Ouachita Baptist University football team remains in the top 15 of the latest national rankings.

The Tigers moved up two spots to No. 11 in the latest D2Football.com Top 25 Poll, and remained at No. 11 in this week's American Football Coaches Association NCAA Division II Top 25 Poll.

Ouachita defeated Oklahoma Baptist 38-31 last Thursday at home. It was the 28th consecutive conference victory for the Tigers and the 13th consecutive season-opening victory.

There were not many changes in either top 15. Defending national champion West Florida remains the near unanimous No. 1. The Argos took down NCAA D1 McNeese State 42-36 this past Saturday on the road.

Other Great American Conference teams represented in the national rankings this week include Harding at No. 12 (D2Football) and No. 17 (AFCA), and Henderson State receiving votes in the AFCA poll.

The Tigers are back in action this Saturday, September 11 on the road against Southern Nazarene (0-1). Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. in Bethany, Oklahoma. Broadcast and live stats links can be found at obutigers.com/coverage.
