ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Baptist University women's basketball team turned in a season-low in field goals made and field goal percentage on Tuesday night, resulting in a 57-56 loss to Southern Nazarene at home.
Ouachita (6-8, 4-6 GAC) finished the game 16-for-49 from the field for 33 percent.
The Tigers rallied from down as much as 11 points late in the third period to take a 52-50 lead on a three-pointer from
Makenzie Schilmoeller with 3:06 remaining in the fourth. That Ouachita lead climbed to as much as four points with just over a minute remaining on a jumper from
Aspen Thornton. SNU (9-7, 4-5 GAC) took advantage of a Ouachita turnover and a missed shot to score five unanswered in the final minute to come away with the win.

Makayla Miller tied for the team-high in points with 18 each. Miller led the team in rebounds with seven.
Ouachita continues its homestand on Thursday night against Southeastern Oklahoma State. Tipoff is 5:30 p.m. at Vining Arena.
