ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Baptist University men's soccer team battled with 16th-ranked Fort Hays State on Thursday at Kluck Field with neither team finding the net.
The Ouachita defense was busy throughout the game, keeping FHSU scoreless on 31 total shots and 10 shots on goal.
After being inserted into the starting lineup just minutes before kickoff, Ouachita goalkeeper
Dillon Staal responded with an impressive performance, racking up a career-high 10 saves in a shutout effort in just his third career game played.
Fort Hays limited Ouachita to just five total shots and one shot on goal.
Ouachita is back in action on Saturday at home against Newman. Kickoff is set for noon at Kluck Field.
