ALVA, Oklahoma – Ouachita Volleyball finished up their weekend road trip with a dominating sweep of Northwestern Oklahoma State.
The set scores were 25-15, 25-20 and 25-13.
The Tigers outhit the Rangers .286 to .101 and lead in nearly every other statistical category for the match.
The offense was by
Emily Adams and
Riley Braziel who each recorded 16 kills. Adams recorded those 16 kills with just one error on 29 attacks, good for a .517 hitting percentage. Adams and Braziel also tied for the lead in points with 17.
Courtney Hanson accounted for all but four of the team's 49 total assists, racking up a total of 45. Hanson also tied with
Lexie Castillow for the team lead in aces with two each.
Karli Ferguson led in blocks with three. Followed by
Riley Braziel with two,and
Kayla Steinmeyer and
Emily Adams with one.
Four Tigers reached double-digit digs; led by
Lexie Castillow with 20,
Riley Braziel with 15,
Avery Jauz with 13, and
Joni Schneider with 11.
With 16 kills and 15 digs,
Riley Braziel recorded her third double-double of the season.
The Tigers will look to continue their success next Tuesday, October 18 as they host the Cotton Blossoms of UAM.
