ARKADELPHIA – Ouachita Volleyball picked up its fourth sweep in five matches as they took down Arkansas-Monticello in dominating fashion at home.
The set scores 25-11, 25-22 and 25-10.
Six of Ouachita's seven GAC wins this season have been sweeps.
The Tiger offense was led by
Riley Braziel with 10 kills.
Kayla Steinmeyer and
Emily Adams were tied for the next spot with seven kills each.
Braziel lead the team in points too, putting up 17. The next closest was Steinmeyer with nine points.
Adding to her big night, Braziel also racked up seven aces in this match; the most by any Tiger since Savannah White recorded 10 in 2012.
Courtney Hanson was the only Tiger to record assists, putting up 23 of them.
Haley Fairchild and
Kayla Steinmeyer tied for the lead in blocks, each recording four.
Lexie Castillow paced the defenders, recording 15 digs. She was the only Tiger to put up double-digit digs.
Battle of the Ravine is next for the Tigers, as they host rival Henderson State at home on Thursday. (Ouachita swept the Reddies earlier this season).
