BETHANY, Oklahoma – The Ouachita Baptist University men's soccer team went on the road for the final time of the 2022 season on Thursday, resulting in a 5-1 loss to Southern Nazarene University.
After a scoreless first half, four of the six combined goals came within a four-minute window from the 69th to the 71st minute. SNU (9-5-3, 7-2-2 GAC/MIAA) struck for two goals in the 69th and 70th minutes. Ouachita (1-12-4, 1-8-2 GAC/MIAA) answered less than a minute later on goal by
David Stankovic from
Eli Stuart. SNU then went up 3-1 less than a minute later.
The Crimson Storm added goals in the 73rd and 81st minutes, respectively.
For Stankovic, it was his second goal of the season and ninth of his career. It was Stuart's first assist of the year and second of his career.
Ouachita will close out the 2022 season on Saturday, October 29 at home against Harding. It will be Senior Day, with a ceremony planned to start at 1:40 p.m. at Kluck Field to honor the program's seven seniors, which are:
