ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Baptist University women's swimming & diving team fought hard in its first home meet of the season, falling to Oklahoma Christian on Friday night by a final score of 121.5-111.5

In Ouachita's closest meet of the season, Oklahoma Christian came out on top after winning seven of the 13 events.

Keilee Holcomb highlighted Ouachita's individual performances with two wins, finishing first in the 400-yard individual medley and the 100-yard freestyle.

Ouachita's top performances included:

• 1,000-yard freestyle: Kate McCown took first with a time of 10:53.97.
• 50-yard freestyle: Rachel Del Angel came in second by one tenth of a second at 25.06.
• 400-yard individual medley: Keilee Holcomb took first at 4:34.59.
• One-meter diving: Isabella Howell took first with a combined score of 167.6. Lenna Conard came in second at 133.35. Abigayl Conard took third at 126.25.
• 200-yard butterfly: Rachel Del Angel finished first at 2:13.34.
• 100-yard freestyle: Keilee Holcomb came in first at 53.16.
• Three-meter diving: Abigayl Connard took first at 173.65. Isabella Howell came in second at 132.85.

After hosting their annual alumni meet on Saturday morning, the Tigersharks will begin preparing for a tri-meet against Southwestern University and the University of Texas of the Permian Basis next Saturday, October 15 in Grapevine, Texas.
