ARKADELPHIA – Ouachita Volleyball earned their second victory in a row, downing Southeastern Oklahoma State 3-0.
The set scores were 25-17, 25-21 and 26-24.
Ouachita controlled the first two sets but trailed by as much as six in the third set. The Tigers then rallied with a 7-0 run to take the lead and were able to hold out in extras to win 26-24.
The offense was led with 12 kills from
Riley Braziel.
Kayla Steinmeyer and
Emily Adams tied for the next spot with seven each.
Braziel was also the only Tiger to meet the double-digit point mark, leading with 12.
Courtney Hanson tallied 26 assists on the match,
Lexie Castillow was next with six, a season high. Both Hanson and Castillow also recorded two aces.
Karli Ferguson led the front-line defense with four blocks, including two solo.
Lexie Castillow paced the defense with 17 digs, followed closely by Hanson with 15 of her own.
The Tigers will round out their busy weekend against the Kangaroos of Austin College in the morning at 9:00 a.m.
