SEARCY, Arkansas – The Ouachita Baptist University men's soccer team lost the first of two meetings this with Harding University on Saturday on the road by a final score of 3-0.
Harding (2-9-1, 2-4-1 GAC/MIAA) scored its goals in the 20th, 35th, and 89th minutes, respectively, while Ouachita (1-10-2, 1-6-1 GAC/MIAA) was held scoreless on 13 total shots, six of which on goal.
Four of Ouachita's six shots on goal came in the first 18 minutes, all saved by the Harding goalkeeper.
Ouachita again came out aggressive early in the second half with shots on goal in the 51st and 65th minutes, respectively.
The Bisons held the Tigers to just one total shot in the final 20 minutes.
Ouachita is back at home for its next two games coming up Thursday, October 13 against nationally-ranked Fort Hays State and Saturday, October 15 against Newman.
