ADA, Oklahoma – The Ouachita Baptist University women's basketball team started its final Oklahoma road trip of the regular season with a 66-50 loss to the East Central Tigers on Thursday night.
ECU (14-9, 11-8 GAC) limited Ouachita (8-15, 6-13 GAC) to its second lowest point total of the season. Ouachita was also held to 15 made field goals, tying a season-low.
Claudia Vanzant led Ouachita with 16 points and a career-high 15 rebounds for her third double-double of the season.
Aspen Thornton added 12 points
The Tigers take the short trip to Durant to take on Southeastern Oklahoma State on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. Ouachita beat Southeastern at home nearly a month ago by a final score of 72-51.
