CLEVELAND, Mississippi – The Ouachita Baptist University swimming teams wrapped up the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Championships on Saturday with 11 top eight performances.

Jeff McCoy and Miles Schulze continued their successful week with strong finishes in Saturday's events. McCoy posted an NCAA B cut finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a personal-best time of 1:49.33. Schulze came in second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a personal-best time of 2:01.49.

Kate McCown and Elise Henderson started the finals event with fourth and fifth place finishes, respectively. A few events later, Kailtlyn Montgomery made the podium with a third-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:03.52, a second away from making a NCAA B cut.

In addition to McCoy in the 200-yard backstroke, teammate Tristan Richert came in sixth at a time of 1:53.42.

The Tighersharks wrapped up the week with strong performances in the 400-yard freestyle relay. On the women's side, the team of Lilia Clark, Henderson, Montgomery, In the men's race, the Tigers came in fourth with Trent Reeder, Elijah Christenson, McCoy, and Angel Medina combining for a time of 3:06.93. 

Overall for the week, the Tigers finished in third place for the men and fourth place for the women.
