ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Baptist University women's tennis team dropped a home match to cross-street rival on Friday by a final score of 5-2.
Austynn Crocker and Clarissa Valenzuela earned the points for the Tigers with singles wins in the second and fourth positions, respectively. Shelly Davilus had hard-fought match in fifth position, with HSU's Vinda Teally needing an extra frame to win the battle 11-9.
With the loss, Ouachita drops to 2-15 overall. HSU improves to 4-6. The two squads will meet again on April 15 across the street counting in the Great American Conference standings.
