ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Baptist University women's tennis team lost a home Great American Conference match to Southern Arkansas on Wednesday by a final score of 5-2.
Austynn Crocker and Ali May were responsible for both of Ouachita's points with wins in first and sixth positions in singles, respectively. Crocker had a hard-fought win with a pair of 6-4 victories. May also had a close matchup, winning the first set 7-6 in a tiebreaker and 6-3 in the second.
Although SAU earned the doubles point with wins in second and third positions, Crocker and Shelly Davilus picked up a convincing win in first position by a final score of 6-1.
With the loss, Ouachita drops to 2-16 overall and 0-3 in the GAC. SAU improves to 3-13 overall and 1-0 in GAC matches.
