DURANT, Oklahoma – The Ouachita Baptist University women's tennis team lost to 37th-ranked Southeastern Oklahoma State on Saturday on the road by a final score of 6-1.
It was the final match for the Tigers away from Arkadelphia for the regular season. Ouachita takes on Henderson State across the street this Friday, April 15, and then hosts Texas A&M-Texarkana on Saturday for the regular season finale.
Ouachita's lone point in Saturday's match came in sixth position singles. After being blanked in the first set, Ali May responded with a pair of convincing wins in one of two three-set matchups. Olivia Gaston pushed her third position singles match up to a third set. In doubles, Taylor Hansard and Makeilah Turner put up a good fight in third position doubles, ultimately falling in a tiebreaker.
