The Ouachita Volleyball team took their second match of the day to four sets, but ultimately fell to UA-Fort Smith by a score of 3-1 to round out the first day of the Reddie-Tiger Invitational.
Final set scores were 23-25, 19-25, 26-24 and 18-25 with each set having multiple ties and lead changes throughout.
Junior
Kayla Steinmeyer once again led the way for the Tigers with 11 kills.; her second double-digit kill outing of the day and the 16
th of her career.
Freshman Outside Hitter
Emily Adams was right behind Steinmeyer with 10 kills and led the team in blocks with three.
Freshman setter
Courtney Hanson led the Tigers with 40 assists, marking the first 40-plus performance since teammate
Kellen Church had 46 against Arkansas Tech in March of 2021.
Graduate Student
Lexie Castillow led all defenders with 22 digs.
Tigers are back in action on Saturday with two more matches starting with Auburn-Montgomery at 11 a.m.
