Freshmen once again led the way as the Tigers finished up play in the Reddie-Tiger Invitational with a 3-0 victory over Cameron University.
Set scores were 25-20, 25-17 and 25-18. The Tigers were down 6-2 in the first set but tied it at 9-9 and never trailed again throughout the remainder of the match.
Freshman
Emily Adams led the team with 11 kills on 18 swings with only 3 errors for a match-high .444 hitting percentage. It was her second 10-plus kill outing of the day and third for of the weekend. Adams' four blocks also were a team-high.
Junior
Kayla Steinmeyer and freshman
Riley Braziel were close behind Adams with nine and seven kills respectively.
Freshman
Courtney Hanson led the team in assists with 34 along with two aces which led both teams.
Graduate student
Lexie Castillow led all defenders with 14 digs, followed by
Riley Braziel with eight.
Ouachita wrapped the Reddie-Tiger Invitational with a 2-2 record and will travel to Denton, Texas for the Texas Women's University Invitational starting Friday, September 2.
