JACKSON, Tennessee – The Ouachita Baptist University women's soccer team picked up a 2-1 win over Union on Thursday in the first road game of the 2022 season.
The Bulldogs found the net early in the third minute and held that lead until the 44th minute when
Fernanda Valencia scored her first goal as a Tiger, assisted by
Paige Owens, who recorded her first career points.
Jamie Fowler scored what ended up being the game-winner for the Tigers in the 70th minute, her 10th career goal.
Ouachita ended up with a 13-8 advantage in total shots. Both teams had five shots on goal.
Michele Snow went the distance for the Tigers in goal, recording four saves.
Ouachita makes a stop in Memphis on the way home for a Saturday afternoon matchup against Christian Brothers. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
