MEMPHIS, Tennessee – The Ouachita Baptist University women's soccer team closed out its weekend trip to Tennessee with a 4-2 loss to Christian Brothers on Saturday.
The Bucs (3-1) jumped out to a 2-0 lead with goals in the ninth and 15th minutes, respectively.
Ouachita cut the lead in half with goal by
Jamie Fowler in the 16th minute on a strong kick from just outside the penalty box. It was her 11th career goal and second straight game with a score.
The Tigers (2-2) equalized the score in 23rd minute when
Hayley Wolfe took advantage of CBU trying to clear the ball away from the goal area to punch it in for her first career goal.
The Bucs scored two unanswered second-half goals to seal the win.
CBU outshot Ouachita 15-9, including a 9-4 margin in shots on goal.
The Tigers stay on the road next weekend, this time a trip to northeast Texas to take on UT-Tyler on Thursday and Texas Woman's on Saturday.
