ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Baptist University men's soccer team opened conference play on Thursday at home with a 4-1 loss to defending regular season champion Southern Nazarene.
SNU scored a pair of early goals, coming in the fourth minute and then again in the 11th minute to take a 2-0 lead.
Ouachita answered with a goal in the 14th minute by
Henry Terry on an acrobatic kick from the pass of
Johar Ghuneim. It was Terry's first career goal and Ghuneim's first career assist.
The Crimson Storm added a pair of second-half goals for the lop-sided victory.
SNU outshot Ouachita 32-8, including a 10-2 lead in shots on goal.
The Tigers stay in Arkadelphia for their next game, a Saturday afternoon conference matchup against Northeastern State. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Kluck Field.
